About Us
Impact Learning Center is a family led, non-profit organization founded in 2020 providing after school programming and academic support services to schools across NYC. In 2022, we opened our first center in Hempstead, Long Island. We are a community of families and educators with a passion for providing high quality academic support. We are committed to supporting minority communities to reach academic excellence.
At Impact Learning Centers we aim to positively impact youth through a positive nurturing learning environment We focus on exposing learners to academic strategies while creating opportunities to excel.
Our brand refers to our aim to impact as many young people as we can so they can take that momentum as they grow and do great things! Positively impact learners today, so they can positively impact our world tomorrow.
MEET THE TEAM
Johnny Trelles, COO
Johnny is a tenured Department of Education licensed teacher with a passion for serving students in underprivileged minority communities. He is skilled at developing students at all levels of achievement especially, those with learning disabilities in Mathematics. He has proudly maintained a highly developed rating on the Danielson’s Framework of Learning scale since 2014. Johnny holds a Master’s degree in Education with certificates in General and Special Ed. Johnny’s goal to make an impact one student at a time was the motivator for opening Impact Learning Center.
Patrice Trelles, CEO
Patrice has been a diversity, equity and inclusion leader and educator in corporate business settings since 2013. She is experienced in employee relations, business compliance and employment law. Her passion for developing students in minority and underserved communities to reach optimal educational excellence and career readiness was the driving force to open Impact Learning Center. She has been featured in HR Today as a future thought leader on DEI issues for the millennial learner and holds a Masters Degree in Psychology and Law.

Over the course of a partnership with Impact Learning Centers, our community partners, parents and families experience:

Since opening our doors to the community in February 2022 we have served 7 communities across NYC and Long Island, NY. More than 500 young people took part in our programs combined.
Our Strategic Approach to Success
Our programs are administered by active licensed teachers and experienced tutors to ensure our services remain aligned with the material covered in the classroom and state exam common core specific preparation. Staff are trained in SEL, behavior management and IEP support.
Our educators engage the learner early on to build rapport, this creates a safe environment where analytic thinking can be challenged for the betterment of the student's academic performance.
Programs are supplemented with purposefully planned academic enrichment. The result is a boost in academic confidence which positively impacts student performance and engagement.
